Import Xero KPIs into Results
If you use Results to manage your KPIs, you can set up a Xero connection to automatically import certain Xero KPIs and any updates into Results.
NB: If you have in anyway edited the standard reports in Xero, they will not import the data.
What Results Imports
This integration will bring across data from Xero once a day. You will be able to see key numbers from Xero without logging into Xero.
Year to Date: Jan 1 up to today
Month to Date: Dec 1 up to today

What this integration doesn't do
This is a one-way connection, so changes made to the goal in Results will not affect Xero’s data.
Only Site Admins can create Xero Integrated goals, but these goals can be allocated to any user, so any team members of the goal owner will be able to see the integrated goal.
Data will be imported every 24 hours, you will not be able to choose update frequencies.
Process: set up Xero to Results connection
- Sign in to Results (get.results.com).
- Go to Settings > Integrations. Under Xero, click on Configure, then Authenticate.
- You will be redirected to Log in to Xero
- Select which organization, click on Authorize
- You can scroll through the list to see what KPIs are available for integration. Click on Done to exit the window.
Create KPI Goals integrated with Xero
- You can create a Xero KPI goal from Options > Add Goal. Select KPI Integration, then click Next.
- Select Xero, then click Next.
- Select one of the available KPIs, click Next.
- You can now name the goal, set a due date, set the goal type, assign a team, and a goal owner. The default format for Accounts Payable Xero KPI goal is Currency, however you can choose how many decimal places to be displayed. Click Next to proceed.
- You can choose the Strategy and set the red/yellow/green values for this goal. The other settings cannot be changed. Once you’re ready, click Submit to create the goal.
- Once created, you can edit the same previous two screens of the goal by clicking on the goal, then Options > Edit Goal.
Troubleshooting Xero> Results imports
Data not imported
If you created your Xero goals before authenticating, your data might not pull across successfully. You will need to:
- Authenticate your Xero Integration in Settings > Integrations> Configure (Xero)
- Delete the Xero goals that were created before you authenticated your Xero integration.
- Recreate the Xero goals that you want. Data should pull across automatically.
Xero accounts, 2 or more
Our current set up does not allow for your account to have more than One Xero account integration.
Creating Xero KPI goals as part of a Hierarchy
You can only create a child goal from Team View. Create the root goal from your homepage (Options > Add Goal) or from Team View (Options > Add Goal). If you want to create a Xero KPI goal as a child goal, click on the root goal. In the box on the right, click on Options > Add Child Goal. You can choose a Xero KPI as your child goal. Xero KPI goals cannot be roll up goals.
Where do the Data come from?
We take data from various parts of Xero Reports, and the list can be found here in Field Mappings.
Why can’t I update my Xero goals in Results?
This integration is a one way integration from Xero into Results. You will not be able to change any data of your Xero account from Results.
Who can Authenticate Integrations?
Only Site Admins can authenticate Integrations. If you should be able to authenticate Integrations, please speak to your Site Admin to change your permission level in Settings > Organization Users.
Who can create Xero KPI goals?
Only Site Admins can create Xero KPI goals. However they can assign it to anyone in any team regardless of permission level, so any team members of the goal owner will be able to see the goal.
What can I do from the Results iPhone App?
You can view Xero KPI Goals , but you will not be able to create any Xero KPI Goals from the iPhone App. Integration setup can only be done via the website and not from the iPhone App.
